Wecome to our new blog!

Hello,

My name is Terry Elsey, and I'm the Collection Development Librarian here at the Laurens County Public Library in Laurens, South Carolina.

Our libraries include the main library in Laurens and a branch library in Clinton.  Our libraries offer collections consisting of adult, young adult and children's materials, both fiction and non-fiction. We provide formats including books, books on CD and cassette, and also DVDs presenting movies and other video content such as documentaries and instructional series. Very soon we will offer ebooks as well so stay tuned for that!

We hope to use this blog to update you on our new adult acquisitions and to offer recommendations for your reading pleasure and information.

Here are a few titles that you might enjoy and are soon to be on the shelves:

The Digital Mom Handbook: How to Blog, Vlog, Tweet, and Facebook Your Way to a Dream Career at Home by Audrey McClelland and Colleen Padilla

Beijing Welcomes You: Unveiling the Capital City of the Future by Tom Scocca

The African American Odyssey of John Kizell: A South Carolina Slave Returns to Fight the Slave Trade in His African Homeland by Kevin G. Lowther

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling

We look forward to seeing you in the library and helping you find the type of reading, listening or viewing materials that you seek.

See you at the library!
